This is a pewter pendant from our Ancient Rune collection. This is the RAIDO rune which is 7/8 inches long by 5/8 inches wide and comes with a black adjustable cord necklace. The pewter also has a slight hammered look, a feature of higher priced pewter and sterling. The Raido is the Rune of travel and safe journeys. It also refers to the journey of the soul between Heaven and Earth. Around 200 B.C. the Nordic tribes of northern Europe devised these Rune symbols to represent the forces of nature. It was believed the by picking the appropriate Rune, the wearer could harness the power the Rune represented.
