Description

This is a pewter pendant of Oroborus. The pendant comes with a black 33 inch necklace cord and a story card as shown in the picture. The pendant is made fine, lead free pewter. Oroborus, the snake with it's tail in its mouth, is a symbol of infinity and the cycles of rebirth and regeneration. It is a Gnostic symbol with the God Abraxis: The Lord of Darkness and Light. This one encompasses a pentacle, the five pointed star that symbolizes the five elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Spirit. Together, the Oroborus and Pentacle stand for the oneness of all things through the infinite cycles of time.

I intially bought this one because i couldnt afford another pentagram from amazon and i thought i wasnt going to like it. From the picture it looks like it's not good quailty and that it might be made of some cheap plastic. But i was wrong and im glad i was. Its not as small as in the picture. It's not medium size but its not small, people will notice it. It seems to be made of some metal it has some hefty weight to it. The cord is made of a really strong but gentle fabric and the pendant its-self is lovely. It has this tarnished old folk-lore athurian legend century look and feel to it and i love it. I thought the Snake shape would distract from the Actual Pentagram but it all blends in together. Morgana from the Arthurian legend actually wore Pentacle pendants with a symbol of snakes inter-twine in them. I love this and im glad i got it! :D The only thing i don't like is that the cord does not come with a clasp, i hate tying knots it makes the pendants look tacky in my opinion but if that doesnt bother you, than this pendant is good for its price.
